    TL;DR - Value spread is the concept of splitting your key defenses (infernos and eagle) so that a queen can't reach all 3 from one comp, or 2 of them from many comps. It's essential to make a good base, and can be baited. Even in those comps that 2 are reachable, make it hard for a queen to funnel into it. Good value spread makes it easier to predict pathing and attackers' moves, which in turn makes it easier to trap a base accordingly. If you're a newer builder, separate those 3 defenses completely, try and make sure they aren't reachable from comps. For advanced builders, you can try and bait a charge based on value spread and make it fail because of unreachable DPS, good holes and moats, and expensive funneling.

    Hey, this is Bone again, this time with a BB guide, since I'm seeing so many people on discord asking me to review their bases. Since I mainly focus on Th11 BB (and I'm pretty much trash at other THs), this guide is only for th11. Value Spread concepts are different at every TH, so please don't try and implement this in, per say, your th12 builds. I'm by no means a pro at BB, but this is a basic concept that I felt i should explain here too.

    Let's talk about value spread. I notice that many of your bases that i review, have bad value spread. I kinda just assume it's mainly because you guys haven't read the guides, or just haven't implemented it well, so I have a watered down explanation of this to use in your builds.

    Value spread at th11 is the concept of separating your eagle and ITs so that they're not all reachable from one specific comp.

    This , is a bad example of value spread. Notice how you can reach both infernos, and the eagle from the eagle comp and the xbow CC comp? And from all the surrounding comps, you can reach 2 out of the 3 key defenses.

    The comps i shaded in black are the ones where you can reach 2 key defenses from, and the ones shaded in red are the ones you can reach three key defenses from

    Now, while this may not be the best base, the value spread isn't too bad. Notice how you can't reach more than 2 key defenses from any single comp, and how they aren't reachable from each others' comp?

    The black shaded areas are the only comps where you can reach 2 key defenses from. And the way that the eagle comp is set up, it's extremely hard to get into them

    So if you look closely, you'll notice that to get some value with a charge, an attacker will have to charge from 5 or 7. With that in mind, you can bait and trap up the rest of the base to deal with it. Good value spread with your key defenses makes it a lot easier to predict an attackers movement and trap accordingly.

    Now, i'll show you how you can bait a queen charge using value reach.

    This is the base in question. Notice the value spread.

    Like usual, red shaded areas are where you can reach all 3 key defenses from, and black areas are where you can reach 2 from. This base wasn't one i thought would work well. But i tested it. And it worked incredibly well. Because the base is designed so that the queen doesn't even get in those shaded comps

    The eagle comp is the hardest to break into. You'd need 3 SWBs and some super expensive and great funneling to manage it. The inferno comp at 12 is about the same. Needs excellent funneling because of the hole and 5x5 used for the AD, and 2-3 SWBs to get your queen in. Same with the CC comp. The core multi would need a wall wrecker or a log launcher, and the queen almost always walks because of the trash ring. Even if the queen ends up getting in these comps (except the core multi and channels), they are bombarded with unreachable DPS in the form of an xbow farm and teslas.

    Now ofc, these concepts aren't meant to be directly copied. It's just that you should be able to use it in your own builds. If you're a newer base builder, I'd stick to trying to implement the first example of good value spread, rather than trying to bait. It makes it way simpler, and baiting is advanced stuff
